Belarus Terminated Another Agreement With Ukraine

Belarus has terminated the agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of Ukraine on the mutual recognition of state licenses for the implementation of construction activities issued by the licensed centers of Belarus and Ukraine.

This is due to the Decree of the Council of Ministers of January 24, 2025, published on the National Legal Internet portal, BelTA reports.

The document states that on the basis of Article 62 of the Vienna Convention on the right of international treaties of May 23, 1969 and Article 44 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 23, 2008 No. 421-Z “On International Treaty of the Republic of Belarus” Council of Ministers of Belarusian Decides to terminate the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Ukraine on the mutual recognition of state licenses for construction activities issued by the licensing centers of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine, signed in Kyiv on May 17, 1996.

The Decree is also recognized as a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of November 16, 1995 No. 628 “On the conclusion of an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Ukraine on the mutual recognition of state licenses for construction activities issued by the licensing centers of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine”, From the moment the agreement is terminated.

The Council of People’s Commissars instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send a notification on the termination of the agreement.

The decision comes into force from the date of its adoption.
