Trust cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia is based on constant political dialogue and mutual support. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev at a meeting with the Serbian colleague Alexander Vuchich as part of his visit to Serbia.
According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, negotiations were held with the President of Serbia in a narrow and expanded format with the participation of delegations of both countries.
The President of Kazakhstan said that his first visit to Serbia as the head of state is of particular importance. According to him, this visit opens a new important page in Kazakh-Serbian relations.
Tokaev noted that trusting between the two countries is based on constant political dialogue and mutual support. According to him, in recent years, Astana and Belgrade took significant steps to strengthen economic interaction, actively developing trade and investment relations.
Taking this opportunity, Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev also expressed gratitude to Alexander Vuchich and the people of Serbia for the solidarity manifested during spring floods in Kazakhstan. The head of state called this gesture a vivid manifestation of sincere friendship between the peoples.
Alexander Vuchich, in turn, expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop on the basis of mutual respect and trust. He noted that Belgrade is interested in further deepening economic ties with Kazakhstan, including in the field of trade, investment and joint projects in key sectors of the economy.
The head of state paid special attention to strengthening trade, economic and investment interaction.
The interlocutors expressed a mutual interest in further increase in bilateral trade and expand the nomenclature of supplied goods.
The available wide opportunities and resources for promoting anchor joint projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, transit and logistics, the defense-industrial complex, digitalization, telecommunication and aerospace industries are considered.
In addition, the importance of developing the interconnectedness and diversification of transport infrastructure is emphasized, including the possibility of opening direct flights between the capitals.
Presidents paid special attention to establishing practical interaction in the fields of education, science, healthcare, tourism, introduction of artificial intelligence.
The heads of state expressed confidence that bilateral documents signed as part of the visit will fully contribute to the further deepening of Kazakh-Serbian cooperation.
