The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a law according to which the National leader of the Turkmen people and his family members have the right to integrity, it also belongs to his property and property owned by family members.
January 21, a joint meeting of the parliament – Millie Gengesh of Turkmenistan, at which it was decided to consolidate the status of the national leader for ex -president Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.
He headed the created supreme representative body of the People’s Power – Hulk Maslahata (People’s Council). Article 5 of the new law states that “the National leader of the Turkmen people is a permanent member of the Hulk Maslahata of Turkmenistan.”
The law also provides for the provision of state protection to the national leader and members of his family, providing the state with conditions for the implementation of activities, protecting his rights and freedoms, life, honor and dignity. Also, the provision of official, housing, social, transport, communication, medical, sanatorium and other services to the national leader of the Turkmen people, as well as material support are carried out by authorized state bodies.
Introduction of the legitimate activity of the national leader, his humiliation, actions against his honor and dignity entail responsibility.
financing of the expenses provided for by this Law is carried out at the expense of the state budget of Turkmenistan.
The National Leader has the right to appeal to the people of Turkmenistan on important issues of state structure, domestic and foreign policy and security of the country, programs of socio-economic development, to make an initiative that is mandatory for consideration by state bodies, as well as officials.
