In Berlin, about 80,000 people took part in a rally in support of protesters in Iran. The police representative cited such data on Saturday, October 22, reports deutsche Welle.
It is noted that significantly more people came to the demonstration than was originally supposed. The organizers hoped that up to 50,000 people would take part in it. People gathered in the center of Berlin at the Victory Column, and went through a demonstration along the government district.
mass protests in Iran have not subside since mid -September. The reason was the death of a 22-year-old girl of Mahsa Amini. She was detained in Tehran for improper wear of the hijab and died a few days later. Protests continue in about 100 cities of Iran. Initially, the protesters demanded an investigation and punish Amini’s deaths, but over time, slogans changed to socio-political, including calls to change the regime. In mid -October, workers of the oil industry joined the protests.
