France can introduce sanctational measures against the UK, if the official London does not change its fishery policies, the TASS reports the words of the representative of the French government Gabriel Attal.
“If the British Fishing Role policy will not be changed, the first package of measures will begin to be applied from November 2. We are talking about systematic customs and sanitary control of products entering France, ban on unloading seafood, as well as about truck control”, – Told Attal.
He noted that France’s discontent causes a restriction by the British authorities to issue fishing permits in Jersey’s waters. French fishermen, according to Attal, was provided in fact half of the longer licenses than they demanded.
Attal also stated that the second sanctions package may include energy measures related to the power supply of the Norman Islands.
Recall that earlier the Prime Minister of France Jean Castex warned that France reserves the right to revise all the conditions for the implementation of various agreements concluded with the UK under the EU auspices in case of perseverance of London.
“It will concern our bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom,” said the head of the French government.
