The Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan caused the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan in the country where he was awarded a note of protest, reports Hovar news agency.
The reason was the commentary of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chyngyz Kustybaev on the awarding of the Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon by the Russian Order.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry noted that “the Tajik side regarding this kind of statements by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan as evidence of erosion of political culture and the lack of elementary diplomatic ethics.” The commentary of the representative of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry was also called “an awkward attempt to impose a deliberately false idea of the true causes of the armed aggression of Kyrgyzstan against Tajikistan.
Press Secretary of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chyngyz Kustybaev, on his Facebook page, spoke about the awarding of the President of Tajikistan by the Russian Order for Merit to the Fatherland of the III degree. The press secretary believes that the actions of the leadership of Tajikistan “undermine the world and consent between the peoples of the countries of Central Asia.” Kustebaev also noted that this award “causes reasonable bewilderment.”
