The war of Ukraine and Russia will not do without negotiations with Vladimir Putin, said US President Joe Biden. He stated this at a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Washington.
Biden emphasized that regardless of whether the Russian leader is considered an enemy, the dialogue with him remains the basis of international politics. “The whole policy is personal, it is about looking into the eyes,” the US president said. “There is no replacement for sitting against each other and looking into the eyes, friend or enemy,” Ukrainian media outlets Biden’s words.
Despite the readiness for dialogue with Putin, Biden is sure that the Russian Federation is losing in the war with Ukraine. A sign of this, the US president considers, in particular, Russia transition to attacks on civilian facilities. “Zelensky and I will do everything together so that this guy does not win,” he added.
