The United States is ready to take further steps in order to prevent threats and attacks on American bases in Iraq and Syria. This is stated in the letter of US President Joe Biden, directed by the leaders of Congress.
The message notes that recently the attacks of groups associated with Iran on the US bases in Iraq and Syria have become more frequent.
“The United States responded to these attacks in a necessary and proportionate way, in accordance with international law and exercising the US right to self -defense, arising from Article 51 of the UN Charter. The United States is ready to take further necessary and appropriate steps in response to threats or attacks”, -The will say in a letter.
