“The United States intends to send their troops not to Ukraine, but to the neighboring NATO countries in the event of a possible invasion of Russia.” This was stated by President of the United States Joe Biden, answering journalists.
He also noted that the idea of placing American troops in Ukraine has never been considered.
According to him, during the online meeting, he told Russian leader Vladimir Putin that in case of invasion of US troops will be sent to the “Bucharest nine” countries (Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Estonia).
“We will have to send more American and NATO troops to the NATO oriental flank, for whom we have a sacred commitment to protect them from any attack from Russia,” said the American leader.
