Financial Control Office (FCA) UK reported that the BINANCE cryptocurrency exchange cannot engage in activities requiring licensing in the country. This is reported by Kommersant.
Financial Times clarifies that the regulator demanded from Binance by June 30 to stop advertising and promotion in the UK, as well as display a notice on its website and on social networks that Binance Markets is not allowed to engage in the country regulated.
Binance planned to open a division in the UK that would receive a license for cryptocurrency operations and it would be isolated from business in other countries, reports ft with reference to sources and public documents.
Binance representative told the ENGADGET publication that the regulator’s solution should not affect the work of the main site. According to him, Binance Markets exists separately and so far not entered the UK market.
