Bishkek And Astana Discussed Key Areas Of Further Cooperation

The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation.

According to the press service of the foreign policy department of Kyrgyzstan, at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu on January 10-11, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev visited Kazakhstan on an official visit.

The heads of diplomatic systems in a narrow composition and expanded format discussed a wide range of bilateral relevant issues, including key areas of further cooperation in political, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other promising areas.

Kulubaev and Nurtleu with satisfaction noted the results of the interaction of the parties in 2024 and announced the importance of the further extension of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations that meet the interests of the peoples of the two countries.

The parties considered the implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of state and governments of the two countries, as well as the issues of organizing bilateral visits and meetings at the highest and high levels planned for the current year. The importance of their quality training is emphasized.

Nurtleu assessed the state of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and expressed his readiness to expand cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis in the field of energy, transport, agriculture, tourism and education.

During the conversation, Kulubaev touched on the development and modernization of passing points on the border, building trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian ties, the stay of Kyrgyzstan citizens in Kazakhstan.

Minister The importance of implementing such projects as the construction of an industrial shopping and logistics complex on the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan border, a ferroalloy plant in the city of Tash-Kumyr, solar power plants in Kyrgyzstan, the Issyk-Kulmati alternative road, and the modern trade and storage warehouse in Almaty region for storing fruits and vegetables, which will contribute to an increase in bilateral turnover and expand investment cooperation.

The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan also considered the issues of cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.

At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized that the efforts of the foreign policy departments of the two countries will maintain a high level of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations and consistently fulfill the tasks set by the heads of state.
