Bishkek and Dushanbe signed a protocol on delimitation and demarcation of State party

Bishkek and Dushanbe agreed to activate the process of describing the general section of the border. This was announced on Sunday, the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet, reports TASS.

“Agreement has been reached on the revitalization of the further description of the design line of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border on the remaining sections of the state border,” the report says.

According to the press service, the meeting of the members of the government delegations of the two countries on delimitation and demarcation of the border took place in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz side of the negotiations was headed by the head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiyev. Tajik – Head of GKNB Simumin Yatimov.

“During the meeting, there was a thorough exchange of views on further actions aimed at settling the situation at the Kyrgyz-Tajik State border. Heads of delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan expressed complete understanding of the need to peaceful conflict resolution at the Kyrgyz-Tajik State Border”, – Notes press service.

Following the meeting, a joint protocol was signed, the content of which is not announced.
