President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov accepted the Prime Minister of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China (China) Lee Ciana, who arrived in the country with the first official visit to participate in the meeting of the Council of the Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (Shos).
Leaders discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
Zhaparov with satisfaction emphasized the noted activation of the Kyrgyz-Chinese relations in recent years, evidence of which is the dynamics of mutual visits at various levels.
The president indicated that this has even more and more strengthened the relationship of good neighborliness, friendship, cooperation and mutual benefits between Kyrgyzstan and China. A high level of political complementarity creates fertile grounds for expanding and increasing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, he said.
Zhaparov made a special emphasis on trade and economic interaction. For many years, China has been and continues to remain for the Kyrgyz side one of the main trade and investment partners, the president said.
Zhaparov noted a large and main Kyrgyz -Chinese joint project for today – the construction of the China -Kyrgyz -Uzbekistan railway, which will become an important link in strengthening the cooperation of the two countries in the transport and logistics sphere. It is also very promising that cooperation with China in the field of energy, taking into account the general border, including the involvement of Chinese investments in the implementation of projects for renewable energy sources.
In turn, the Prime Minister of the State Council of the PRC expressed the hope that this official visit would strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation and good neighborly relations.
The Prime Minister of the State Council emphasized that during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, he felt positive changes in the country.
Li Tsyan emphasized that China attaches important importance to the development of relations with Kyrgyzstan, expressing confidence that the leadership of the two leaders will be built effective Kyrgyz-Chinese strategic multifaceted cooperation.
