President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on Tuesday, April 9, accepted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov, who arrived on an official visit to the country. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, a wide exchange of views on the current state and prospects of connections between countries, including the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.

Zhaparov noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches important importance to relations with Azerbaijan. In recent years, two -sided relations have become breakthrough in the history of bilateral relations – in 2022 two visits were held at the highest level, all issues that slow down the development of cooperation between the two countries were settled.
He emphasized that the parties established the level of strategic partnership, created an interstate council, established the Azerbaijano-Kyrgyz Development Fund, signed an agreement on the construction of the Azerbaijani side of the five-star hotel on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. All this indicates that interstate relations are developing very dynamically and are now at an unprecedentedly high level.
In turn, Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov celebrated negotiations with the Kyrgyz colleague Jeenbek Kulubaev, who successfully held today, in which issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed, preparation for the 29th session of the conference of the United Nations Ramy Convention on Climate Changing (COP29), the current situation in the region.
Jayhun Bayramov, on behalf of President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyeva invited President Sadyr Zhaparov to take part in this event, which this year will be held in Azerbaijan.
The parties also noted that Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are taking measures to expand cooperation and the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Development Fund is an effective platform in this direction, through which it is planned to implement priority projects in various fields.
