US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken assured that the United States and its allies and partners are not striving to delay the fighting in Ukraine, and also called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to complete a special military operation. This is stated in a written statement by Blinken, published by the press service of the US State Department.
“We again urge Putin President Putin to immediately put an end to this conflict and all the suffering and global shocks that the war he chosen caused. Neither the United States, nor our allies and partners strive to drag out the war to cause Russia’s pain”, – says in the statement.
Blinken emphasized that the United States “is very respected by Russian citizens” who “deserve a better future.” He also recalled that from February 24, the United States provided Ukraine with more than $ 6.3 billion of humanitarian, military and economic assistance.
