US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warned that Russia could try to pretend that it has stopped, which would not lead to a solid world, but only allow the Russian troops to regroup and attack Ukraine again. It is reported by CNN.
“One of the things that you can imagine is that the Russians are trying to find a way out that would be a fake output. They say, let’s agree on the ceasefire, let’s just freeze the situation in place, we will get a frozen conflict, never We will not negotiate about the territory that they captured and continue to hold. Rest, re -equipment, regrouping, repeated attack, ”said Blinken.
Blinken explained that such a situation may arise if Russia fails in an attempt to “force the Ukrainian people to surrender”, which is possible thanks to the incredible resistance shown by Ukrainians.
“This will end, and this will almost certainly end with diplomacy with negotiations. But what, I think, we should see is a fair and strong world. Not a false world,” said Blinken.
Only about a third of the 300,000 Russians called up for real military service were completely mobilized, said Blinken, who pointed out the weak opportunities of those who joined the fighting.
“You get the forces that are barely trained, poorly equipped, not prepared for the winter that are thrown into this mixture. And this is terrible. They are not especially effective units,” he said.
