Demolation of the Kakhovsky Dam and hydroelectric power stations in the Kherson region of Ukraine led to significant damage.
Due to the undermining of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station last week, the Ingalets river, the right tributary of the Dnieper, also came out of the shores.
Residents of the injured areas began to deliver humanitarian assistance.
A resident of the village of Pavlovka Igor Yurkevich, in an interview with Anadolu, said that his house after undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station remained under water. “Our house is located next to the Inguls river. This river came out of the shores every spring, but after the incident our house was flooded. It was unexpected,” he said.
Yurkevich noted that initially he was thinking of repairing his house, but this is impossible: “The house needs to be completely demolished and built again. My house was at the lowest level above the river. Together with mine there were three more houses of neighbors.”
The man intends to temporarily move to his relatives.
One of the inhabitants of the village of Valentina said that she managed to take only documents from the house. “Everything that we had was left under water. Our house was completely under water,” the woman said.
Valentina temporarily remains with relatives. “While we live with relatives. We are provided with humanitarian help. We were left without shelter,” she said.
