Boris Johnson, who previously headed the British government, intends to fight again for the post of prime minister after the resignation of Liz Tracies, reports The Times.
“I am informed that Boris Johnson’s candidacy is expected to be extended to the post of leader of the Tori party. So far, he consults with trustees, but, as they say, believes that this is a matter of national interests,” wrote the newspaper Political assistant Stephen Swinford in social networks.
The main contenders for the post of head of the British government, in addition to Johnson, are the former head of the British Ministry of Finance and the main competitor of the tracks in the last election Rishi Sunak and the leader of the House of Communities of the Parliament Penny Mordont. The publication notes that supporters of the ex-Minister of Finance consider him a “most suitable candidate.”
British Prime Minister Liz Trasses confirmed its resignation on October 20. The tracks admitted that she could not cope with the duties of the prime minister assigned to her.
