The European Union needs to reach an agreement with the Russian Federation, so that from Ukrainian ports blocked by Russian warships, 20 million tons of wheat can be taken out, this was announced during a briefing in Brussels by the Supreme Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel.
“We think how to take out 20 million tons of Ukrainian wheat. This is not easy. It is obvious that an agreement is needed with Russia to use the sea routes,” he said.
According to the Bo -relief, the threat of the food crisis will be on the agenda of the current EU summit. The diplomat also noted that the European Union cannot allow hunger in the world, adding that it will be a “great tragedy”. “This is what Putin does. (Including) the destruction of wheat reserves (in Ukraine),” said the diplomat.
