Europe does not intend to enter into a military conflict with Russia, and the main response to the war in Ukraine will invariably be sanctions, said the head of the diplomacy of the European Union Josep Borrel in an interview with the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri.
“We began to move from intentions to action, showing that when we are provoked, Europe can answer. Since we do not want to fight with Russia, economic sanctions are based on this answer,” the diplomat noted.
According to him, the sanctions imposed against Russia will be supplemented in the coming months.
