President of Brazil Louis Inasiu Lula da Silva will not be able to take part in the Summit of Brix leaders, which will be held in Kazan due to health problems.

According to local media reports, Lula da Silva was forced to cancel his trip to Russia after he hit his head in the kitchen of his house.

78-year-old Lula da Silva was injured by the back of the head and was hospitalized in the Syrio-Liban Hospital in the capital of Brazilia.

After the examinations, the president’s doctor recommended that he refrain from traveling.

The statement published by the administration of the President of Brazil, it is reported that Lula da Silva will take part in the BRICS summit, which will be held from October 22 to 24 in Kazan, in the format of a video conference.

Russia in 2024 will head BRICS, and the main event of the association – the 16th Summit of BRICS leaders – will be held in Kazan from October 22 to 24.

According to the Kremlin, 32 countries are expected at the summit, and 24 of them will be represented at the level of heads of state.
