The British Embassy commented on the detection of mass burial in the village of Edilly Khojavender district, reports Report.
“The Government of Great Britain has always emphasized the importance of investigating war crimes. The places where the atrocities were committed, as in Khojavender, should be investigated. All persons guilty of war crimes must be held accountable,” the embassy emphasized.
During the investigation on the territory of Edilly on February 23-26, 2022, the remains of seven people were discovered and seized from mass burials, and 18 people on September 14-30, 2022. The remains were sent to a molecular genetic examination. In this regard, a criminal case was opened in the military prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan.
