London stands for the accelerated imposition of sanctions against oil and gas from Russia, said the representative of the Prime Minister of Great Britain Max Blaine TV channel Sky News.
“There is every reason to continue to take steps regarding the further imposition of sanctions, as well as about defense assistance and all other measures to give pressure on Russia,” the interfax basin quotes.
Blaine stressed that “countries need to act at the maximum pace” with the aim of refusing Russian energy resources.
As the TV channel notes, Blake also stated that the United Kingdom and its allies “can do more to strengthen sanctions”, including to take measures to access Russia to the international payment system SWIFT.
