British general: by their own free will Russians will not leave Ukraine

According to the former chief of the British General Staff of Lord Richard Dannat, the Russian troops will not voluntarily leave the captured territories of Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Force.

“All international statements may demand from Russia to go to the borders on February 24, to return the territories captured in the Donbass, but why on earth do they give in to these territories? – General Dunat asks in an interview with Sky News. – Of course, They will not leave voluntarily, and NATO and the coalition of Western countries will not carry out a major operation to expel them from there. “

According to the British military, real negotiations will begin only then and if the Ukrainians still hold the defense in the Donbass, and the Russian troops will exhale, capturing part of the Ukrainian territory.

However, for this, Lord Dannat believes, the President Zelensky will have to admit that 10-15% of the Ukrainian territory will remain under Russia’s control.

The words of Lord Dannat sound in the line of recent publications in the Western media and statements of a number of European and American politicians who call Kyiv to come to terms with the loss of the territory for the conclusion of peace with Russia.

The President of Zelensky himself, as well as other representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, categorically stated that they would not agree to any option of peaceful settlement, which implies a rejection of any part of Ukraine.
