Ukraine continues to achieve success in offensive operations both on the north-eastern and southern fronts, according to the daily report published by the British Ministry of Defense.
As noted in the report, in the northeast in the Kharkov region, Ukraine has now consolidated a significant part of the territory east of the Oskol River.
Politically, the Russian leadership will most likely be concerned that the advanced Ukrainian units are now approaching the borders of the Luhansk region, which Russia has officially annexed on Friday among other four regions of Ukraine, the document says.
In the Lugansk region, Ukrainian formations advanced to a depth of 20 km to the Russian defense strip towards the city of Svatovo – an important supply unit. It is very likely that Ukraine can now strike on the key road Svatovo – Kremennaya from artillery systems, which will even limit Russia’s capabilities to replenish units in the east of Ukraine.
