as part of the 10th meeting of ministers for the development and transfer of green energy in Budapest, the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shakhbazov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Siyyarto.
The meeting discussed issues related to the implementation of the project “Caspian-Black Sea-European Green Energy Corridor”, as well as the priorities of bilateral energy cooperation.
The important role of Azerbaijan and the southern gas corridor in ensuring the energy security of Europe in modern conditions was noted. The parties appreciated the prospects for gas supplies from Azerbaijan to European countries, emphasizing the importance of developing gas fields and expanding infrastructure. It is indicated that the need for diversification of energy supply requires a rational approach to questions related to natural gas.
Peter Siyyarto invited Azerbaijan to take an active part in the next meeting of the advisory council of the Southern gas corridor, which will be held in April, where issues related to natural gas and green energy will be discussed.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the implemented and planned projects with the participation of the Hungarian companies Mol Group and MVM.
