“In Azerbaijan, electricity is produced only from gas, and we are a large manufacturer of electricity. If we can provide them with electricity, they will give us saved gas instead of producing this electricity,” Stayanov noted.
Having stated that during the visit to Baku there were several main points, the minister added that the first of them is associated with the promotion of the interconnector with the southern gas corridor.
“We have a serious confidence that the connection of this gas will begin on October 1. The Azerbaijani side confirmed that it can be counted in full in terms of the contract for the supply of 1 billion cubic meters per year.
