Bulgaria refused to supply weapons to Ukraine, and Austria against Kyiv’s accession to European Union

Weapon supplies to Ukraine caused disputes among the participants of the country’s government in Bulgaria, in connection with which the ruling coalition decided to abandon the supply of weapons, reports Bloomberg.

According to the agency, the RROROSSION Socialist Party of Bulgaria threatened the way out of the ruling coalition if the authorities endorse the supply of weapons to Kyiv. At the same time, the centered batch “Democratic Bulgaria” threatened to leave the coalition if the supply does not follow.

In addition, Austria’s Foreign Minister Alexander Sallenberg said that Ukraine should not offer membership in the European Union, writes “European True”. He argued his position in the fact that the countries of the Western Balkans were held a much longer way to candidate in EU member.

Heute’s Austrian edition also leads to the words of Sallenberg that Ukraine should not become a member of the EU even in the future. He spoke at the other way for Ukraine than full membership. According to the minister, there must also be other models than Ukraine’s accession to the EU, accession to the Unified EU Economic Area or simply preserving the current level of the Association Agreement.
