Bulgaria joined a number of European countries, which introduced a ban on the entry of cars with Russian numbers. This is stated in the message of the Bulgarian Customs Agency, published on the website of the department.
“vehicles with Russian numbers transporting up to 10 passengers, is prohibited both entering the country and transit passage,” the report said.
Responsibility for the execution of the ban lies with the Customs Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Border Police of Bulgaria. The ban was introduced on the recommendation of the European Commission and applied to Russia in connection with the conflict it has begun against Ukraine, the customs agency noted.
The ban on the ban on the Russian diplomatic mission does not fall under the ban. All other vehicles with Russian numbers are ordered to leave the country for 6 months.
Meanwhile, the head of the local border police Anton Zlatanov said that in addition to vehicles with Russian numbers, some personal property of Russians also fall under the ban, the list of which will be determined later.
Thus, the number of European countries that introduced a ban on the entry of vehicles with Russian numbers increased to 8. Earlier, this ban was introduced in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Germany and Norway, which is not a member of the EU but enters the Schengen zone.
