“Our next big victory, which, I hope, we will achieve in July, will be the opening of the gas pipeline with Greece, through which Azerbaijani gas will go. I will visit Baku this week to confirm the volume of supplies. We will have a billion of cubic meters of gas that will go very soon. I expect that in July – August a billion cubic meters will come to Bulgaria at a price, which, at the moment, is several times lower than the market. ” This was stated by Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov, answering questions from journalists.
Answering questions, Petkov also added that negotiations on a long -term agreement on the supply of American liquefied gas are ongoing.
“We have not completed the issue of American gas. We continue to think what the best long -term agreements are there. We are trying to create a mix of liquefied and Azerbaijani gas so that the average price is a more favorable price of Gazprom so that we are sure that the Bulgarian economy will remain competitive and diversified, ”the TASS agency quotes the Prime Minister of Bulgaria.
