The volume of Turkish exports by the sea route in January – August 2023 amounted to about 93 billion dollars. This is evidenced by the data of the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k).
The total volume of Turkish exports for 8 months of this year amounted to 164 billion 793 million 509 thousand dollars.
The main part of exports in Turkey in the period under consideration was carried out by sea route. The volume of exports by sea transport amounted to 92 billion 970 million 27 thousand dollars.
The following is the land transport – 54 billion 688 million 670 thousand dollars, the air – 14 billion 703 million 703 thousand dollars and rail – 1 billion 398 million 245 thousand dollars. The export of Turkey, carried out in the same period in the other ways, amounted to 1 billion 32 million 864 thousand dollars.
In previous years, most of the exports were also carried out by sea transport.
