At the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, a farewell ceremony was held with the first and only Secretary of State of the RSFSR Gennady Burbulis, who died in Baku on June 19. Earlier, relatives of the politician delivered his body to Russia, TASS reports.
Note that Gennady Burbulis in the early 1990s held the post of first deputy prime minister of the government and was considered one of the closest associates of the first president of Russia Boris Yeltsin.
Gennady Burbulis died in Baku at the age of 77. According to media reports, the death of a politician occurred at the moment when he was in a sauna in one of the hotels of the capital of Azerbaijan. The ex-minerian was on a visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the Global Baku Forum.
