Russian-Georgian relations can only be established by Russian President Vladimir Putin, said former speaker of the Georgian parliament, opposition leader Nino Burjanadze.
“Of course, we have very serious problems with Russia, but I know that the only person in Russia who can have a positive, negative impact on Russian-Georgian relations is indeed Vladimir Putin,” Burjanadze said in on the air of the radio station “Echo of Moscow”.
According to Burjanadze, no matter how difficult it is, it is necessary to talk with Russia: “If people want to really change the Russian-Georgian policy, then they should talk with someone who can really influence it.”
