Bus With Students Caught Fire In Thailand: At Least 20 People Died

In Thailand, a bus, transporting 38 students and 6 teachers, caught fire, as a result of which, according to preliminary data, at least 20 people were killed.

Transport Minister Thailand Suria Chuangrungryangkit, said that a bus with 44 passengers who left the Vytai Thani area on a tour, caught fire on the way.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Anunhin Chanvirakun, added that checks are ongoing at the scene, and the exact number of victims has not yet been confirmed. He noted that on the basis of the number of survivors it is estimated that 20 people were killed.

Highways appeared on social networks, which show how the bus covers with fire. Information about the age of students and other details has not yet been provided.

According to rescuers, the fire began after the bus crashed into barriers.

Prime Minister of Thailand Phethongthan Chinavat expressed deep grief about the incident and condolences to the families of the dead.
