Cabinet of Council of Turkey has published new package of support for residents of distress zone

Residents of the disaster zone in Turkey, who want to independently restore the house destroyed by the earthquake, the state will be paid 500 thousand lires, and 250 thousand lire owners and other business facilities. This was announced on Friday, July 7, the Minister of the Surders among, urban planning and environmental changes Mehmet Ozhaseki.

According to him, residents of the distress zone in Turkey will also be able to receive interest-free loans for 500-800 thousand lires, and entrepreneurs-for 250-500 thousand lire.

“We are talking about preferential loans for a period of 10 years with the beginning of the repayment schedule two years after receiving funds,” the minister explained.

At the same time, he emphasized that construction should be carried out with rigid accounting of the requirements of seismic resistance.

In parallel in cities and villages of the distress zone, the construction of houses continues as part of a plan approved by the Turkish government.

On Monday, on February 6, in the southeast of Turkey, two earthquakes of magnitude more than seven points occurred (at 04.17 local time – 7.7 points and at 13.24 – 7.6 points). The number of victims of underground shocks exceeded 50 thousand people.
