The Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova approved the ratification of the agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Italy in the field of social security signed in Rome on October 31.
According to the press service of the Moldovan Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, November 20, in accordance with the agreement, citizens of the Republic of Moldova working in Italy will be able to apply for a pension by age, disability pension and other social guarantees.
The document provides Moldavian citizens with two main advantages: a combination of insurance periods to determine the right to a pension and a simplified process of receiving benefits.
Thus, the citizens of Moldova who worked in both countries will have accumulated work experience to receive the right to a pension.
So, Moldovan citizens who have the total experience of insurance premiums for at least 15 years in both countries will have the right to receive a pension in the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, the process of requesting benefits becomes more affordable and less costly for citizens of Moldova, entitled to Italian pensions that live in the Republic of Moldova.
Moldovans no longer have to go to Italy to submit an application. Applications for pensions and other social payments can be submitted both in Italy and in the Republic of Moldova.
, on the basis of an agreement, citizens will be provided with the following types of social payments: age pension, disability pension, pension and allowance for industrial accidents or professional diseases, pension for loss of the breadwinner.
the Republic of Moldova entered into 18 bilateral agreements in the field of social security. Such agreements are currently negotiating with France, Canada, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprom, Albania and Ukraine.
