Cabinet Of Ministers Of Russian Federation Supported Decision To Extend Restrictions On Export Of Gasoline

Vice Prime Minister Alexander Novak supported the decision to introduce the ban on gasoline export for the companies that do not produce it from March 1 to August 31 of the current year with the aim of balancing the market during increased demand.

According to the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation, Novak held a headquarters meeting on the situation in the domestic market of oil products with the participation of the leaders of oil companies, representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Transport, the FAS, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian Railways, the St. Petersburg International Production and Rawland Exchange, and deputies State Duma, etc.

Participants discussed the current situation in the oil products market, taking into account the additional stabilization measures taken, the conditions for the supply of fuel by rail and pipeline transport, analyzed the balance of supply and supply before the upcoming sowing campaign.

”Alexander Novak supported the decision to introduce the ban on gasoline export for the companies that do not produce it from March 1 to August 31 of this year with the aim of balancing the market during increased demand. Vice Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Agriculture until March 1 to coordinate the conditions and volumes of fuel supplies to companies of the agricultural sector, taking into account their real needs.

In addition, the Federal Antimonopoly Service was instructed to monitor fuel prices for agricultural producers in the regions of the country.
