In Canada, a petition was launched with a demand to deprive the citizenship of the senior adviser to US President Donald Trump Elon Mask on the grounds that he “is engaged in activities that contradict the national interests of the country.”
Thousands of Canadians took part in the collection campaign, initiated by the writer, Klylia Reed and supported by the deputy from the new Democratic Party (NDP) Charlie Angus.
In a petition, claiming that Musk “is engaged in activities contrary to the national interests of Canada”, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for the double citizenship of the mask born in South Africa and deprive him of Canadian citizenship, which he has through the mother’s line. P>
The petition claims that businessman Musk “uses his wealth and power to influence the Canadian elections” and “is a member of a foreign government who seeks to erase Canada sovereignty”.
The petition, which was signed by more than 50 thousand people, will be represented in the House of Commons June 20.
