Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudo spoke during a press conference in Kyiv about new restrictive measures in relation to Russia.
Trudeau explained that Ottawa imposed sanctions against 24 individuals and 17 legal entities for the alleged support of a special operation.
According to the prime minister, Canada will continue to “support Ukraine at all costs while it needs.”
In particular, Trudeau noted, the Canadian government will allocate $ 500 million to the aid of the Ukrainian military. He clarified that the funds will be spent on the purchase of additional weapons for the Armed Forces and the program for training Ukrainian pilots.
The prime minister promised that the Russian AN-124 Russian cargo plane will be transferred to Ukraine in February 2022.
Kyiv fights not only for its values, democracy and freedom, but also “for the future of all of us”, summed up Trudeau.
