Canada will provide budget support for Moldova in the amount of 120 million Canadian dollars
People’s chosen ones ratified today a credit agreement between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova and Canada, Moldipres reports.
Money will be provided to finance the needs of the state budget and fulfill the program proposed by the World Bank “Politics of Development of Operations to Support and Sustainability in Moldova”.
The funds will go to increase the stability of households and refugees, promote sustainable economic growth by increasing competition and growth provided by the private sector, as well as to support the resistance to climate change and the transition to “green” energy.
Credit will be issued in two parts. The deadline for repayment is 10 years, including a three -year preferential period.
The agreement was signed on September 6, 2024.
