The chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Forced Migrants, Rovshan Rzaev met with a member of the board of the National Ethnic Council for the press and media Canada, the head of the advisory council on the press of the United Canadian communities Tony Ruprecht, journalist Inga Sonya-Kellner and Ismail Vataneri, consular coordinator for foreign cases of the Turkish federation Canada.
The guests were informed of the policy of occupation, carried out by Armenia and the difficulties that more than a million refugees and forced immigrants have been faced with, as well as the measures taken by the Azerbaijani government to solve their social problems. It was noted that to improve the living conditions of forced immigrants, 116 modern villages were built with the necessary social and technical infrastructure.
After the liberation of his territories from the occupation of Armenia, Azerbaijan set his most important task to return forced immigrants to these territories. Currently, the necessary security measures are being taken for this, settlements and infrastructure destroyed by the invaders are restored and reconstructed.
It was noted that in the village of Agali of the Zangilalan district, the opening ceremony of the first stage of the Smart Selo project was held. In the near future, the resettlement of the families of forced immigrants will begin in this village. At the same time, it was noted that the State Committee, together with local and international organizations, is implementing projects to support the employment of forced immigrants who will be relocated to liberated territories.
Tony Ruprecht thanked the chairman of the State Committee for providing detailed information about the activities of the State Committee and the return of IDS.
