The Central Election Commission of Georgia recognized the elections to the country’s parliament.
At a briefing after the end of the voting, the head of the CEC Georgy Kalandarishvili said that the process was held in a peaceful and calm atmosphere, and the large -scale use of electronic devices was a successful step of modernization.
18 parties participated in the elections, including the ruling “Georgian dream – democratic Georgia”, which has been in power for 12 years.
According to the CEC from 97.48% of the sites, the Georgian Dream is gaining 52.98% of the vote, which allows the party to single -handedly form the government.
The Parliament also takes place the Coalition for Changes (11.2%), “Unity is the National Movement” (9.83%), “Strong Georgia” (9.02%) and the Gakharia for Georgia party ( 8.22%).
The rest of the parties did not overcome the 5 percent barrier.
