The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (TsBA) decided to increase the discount rate by 0.25 percentage points to 8.5%.
The lower limit of the percentage corridor is set at 6.75% with an increase of 0.5 percentage points, and the upper is 0.25 percentage points with an increase of 9.5%.
“This decision is made taking into account the dynamics of factors that exert an increase and decreasing the effect on inflation in the internal and external environment,” the Central Bank declaration says.
The next decision of the Central Bank on the parameters of the percentage corridor of the board will be published on March 29.
