The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) decided to increase the accounting rate from 7% to 7.25%, reports the Central Bank.
The upper limit of the corridor of interest rates rose from 8 to 8.25%, and the bottom remained at 6%.
The decision to increase the accounting rate to 7.25% entered into force on December 17.
This is the third consecutive increase in the accounting rate by the Central Bank during September-December 2021. At 5 meetings in the current year – in January-July – the CBA made a decision on the maintenance of the account at 6.25%.
