China will steadily develop friendly cooperation with Iran, regardless of changes in the international and regional situation. This was stated by Chinese PRC Xi Jinping at a meeting with Iranian President Masuda Cyezeshkian in the fields of the 16th Brix summit in Kazan, the press service of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Iran is a country with an important regional and international influence, as well as a good friend and partner of China, ”said the Chinese leader.
According to him, the strategic significance of the Sino-Iranian relations is becoming more and more noticeable against the background of acceleration of unprecedented over a century of change.
Beijing supports Iran in protecting national sovereignty, security and national dignity, steadily promoting its own socio -economic development, improving and deepening good neighborly and friendly relations with neighboring states, ”said Xi Jinping.
He noted that China is ready to work with Iran in order to firmly support each other, to defend the basic norms of international relations, including non -interference in internal affairs, as well as protect the legal rights and interests of the two countries.
China is ready to strengthen interaction with Iran within the framework of BRICS and other multilateral structures, even more strengthen the influence and voice of the global south, and contribute to the formation of a more fair and reasonable international order, – added the Chairman of the PRC.
During the meeting, an exchange of views on regional issues was also held. Xi Jinping, in particular, expressed deep concern of the current situation in the Middle East.
He noted that the speedy ceasefire and the end of the war in the gas sector is the key to the discharge of regional tension.
Iranian President Cyezeshkian, in turn, said that China is the most important partner of Iran in cooperation, and the Iranian-Chinese relations of the comprehensive strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation in various fields retain sustainable development dynamics.
Iran expects to make joint efforts with China to implement a plan of comprehensive cooperation and to deepen bilateral cooperation in the sectors of interconnectedness, infrastructure and pure energy sources in order to achieve new results, which promotes not only the national development of Iran, but also strengthen the world and stability in region, ”he said.
