Chairman of the European Commission Ursula Von De Lyien, who advocates decisive measures to combat climate change, was sharply criticized for a 19-minute flight on a private aircraft from Vienna to Bratislava, reports TASS.
Secretary General of the European Association of Taxpayers Mikhael Eger in an interview with German Bild reported that this flight cost taxpayers a lot of money and, above all, a lot of confidence.
“If you want a change, then you need to show an example. Otherwise you can not trust,” the Bundestag deputy from the Christian-Democratic Union Yana Shimka noted.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago at the Climate Conference in Glasgow von der Lyien called on the world community to accelerate the pace in efforts to implement climate purposes.
