The Chairman of the European Parliament Robert Metsola called to increase military, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, reports Deutsche Welle.
“This war should be stopped urgently. And Ukraine should win this war,” said Metsola.
According to her, this means “more weapons for Ukraine, more financial and humanitarian assistance, more practical solidarity and more sanctions against Russia.”
“Ukraine needs weapons, and Europe can help by providing this weapon,” Metsola emphasized.
In addition, Metsola called on creating a special tribunal to investigate war crimes against Ukraine.
“Military crimes against Ukrainians whose evidence accumulates, and the continuing destruction of civil infrastructure is a gross violation of international law,” she said, emphasizing that everyone who is guilty of war crimes should be held accountable.
