Chancellor Sholts: Ukraine Secretly Prepared Surgery In Kursk Region Of Russia

German Chancellor Olaf Sholts said that Ukraine secretly prepared surgery in the Kursk region, not informing partners.

Scholz, who visited Moldova, met Chisinau in the capital of the country with President Maya Sandu.

After the meeting, Sandu and Scholts held a press conference.

The Chancellor in his protrusion stated that he supports Moldova on the way to membership in the European Union (EU): “We are positively looking at the EU expansion. I believe that the process of joining the EU of some countries should be completed.”

Chancellor added that they are closely monitoring the situation that developed after the attack of the Ukrainian army on the Kursk region of Russia.

“Ukraine secretly prepared a military operation against the Kursk region without reporting this,” he said.

Scholts indicated that in the project of the Federal budget of Germany for 2025, 4 billion euros were allocated for the military support of Ukraine. He emphasized that Germany will continue to support Ukraine.

“In this regard, the largest world power, the USA, can do more,” added a politician.

– Moldova wants to be part of the European family

President of Moldova Sandu in her speech noticed that the Prime Minister of Germany for the first time in 12 years visited Moldova and that this visit would strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Sandu noted the strengthening of cooperation with Germany in the field of security and added: “With the support of Germany, we become stronger in the face of threats of our national security. Germany made a significant contribution to the establishment of peace in Europe.”

Sandu noted that Germany, together with France and Romania, created a Moldova support platform and provided it with 40 million euros in the field of energy.

reminding that in March 2022, Moldova submitted an application for joining the EU, and this year negotiations on membership with the EU began, Sandu said: “In this process, we are taking hard steps with the support of our partners in Europe, including Germany.

She noted that in October, Presidential elections and a referendum on EU membership will be held in Moldova. President Sandu called on citizens of the country to take an active part in the referendum.

“Moldova wants to become part of the European family, and the process of joining the EU is vital for our democratic future,” the President of Moldova summed up.
