“It is reasonable to believe that the world is approaching the final stage of the coronavirus pandemic,” said Stefan Bansiel, General Director of the American pharmaceutical company Moderna, reports CNBC.
“There are 80% of the probability that as the oomikron-strain mutation and SARS-COV-2 disseminate, in general, we will see all less and less virulent viruses,” he said.
At the same time, Bansiel believes that in the remaining 20% of cases, the following strains will be more dangerous.
“The fact is that the virus is not going anywhere. It will remain with people forever like the flu, and we will have to live with it,” he said.
The general director also said that his company is developing a combined flu vaccine and coronavirus, which will be ready, presumably, by August 2023.
