Connecting Turkey to sanctions against Russia is not realistic, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlyut Chavushoglu.
“We follow the Sanctions of the UN, keep them. But in terms of connecting to sanctions of individual countries, I think the countries themselves understand that with the intermediary position of Turkey it is not realistic,” said Chavushoglu in an interview with NTV TV channel.
According to him, Western partners are interested in Ankara’s position. “We are often asked whether to close the sky? You understand, Turkey has a mediation position designed to stabilize the situation,” said the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
